Character and concept artist Pablo Munoz Gomez has a nice tutorial about sculpting hair in ZBrush, and is offering 3 free ZBrush Hair Brushes.
The tutorial covers sculpting a beard in ZBrush with custom brushes, but the techniques taught can be used to sculpt any kind of hair details. The custom brushes Pablo uses are available as a free download from his site.
