Primary Objective of this ministry is to keep our Pastor and his family in constant/continual prayer and to assist and aid them in whatever manner we can.
The Pastor's Aide Ministry is a group whose concerns are the immediate and personal needs of the Pastor; aiding him in delivering God's message, God's words, and God's instructions to the congregation and all others who will hear the words of God, with less personal distractions as possible.

The Pastor’s Aide ministry is designed to provide supplementary support to the Pastor and his family. The goal is to show appreciation to the pastor for his leadership and spiritual guidance in the church. Sometimes a pastor may find himself in a position where he is burdened and emotionally drained. The pastor's aide ministry functions to encourage the pastor personally and ministerially. This includes financial, moral and spiritual support for him and his family and assistance with church programs and ministry. God has instructed us to aide and take care of this Servant of God and recognize him as a direct messenger from God. We the 'Pastor's Aide Ministry' take these instructions to a personal level. We make sure that the Pastor and his family is supplied with certain necessities as well as comfort items.

Creating a pastor anniversary theme can be intimidating, overwhelming and sometimes over thought. Selecting a theme for your pastor is nothing more than creating a sentence based on the direction or progression of his ministry. The theme should also have some type of deep meaning in some cases, with a clever underlining thought.

Our focus is not to just fulfill the needs of the Pastor, but to show that he is loved and appreciated for his Guidance, Vision and Directions. We also work hard at encouraging the Congregation to highly Support, Give Service To, and Relish in his services.

Pastor Aide Program Themes List

We meet on a regular basis on the Tuesday after the second Sunday at 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Greater Union Baptist Church. In our meetings, our focus is on discussing ministry concerns relating to the Pastor and his family.

Themes For Pastor Aide Program

Members of this ministry are asked and encouraged to:
Attend church services on a regular basis, in addition to the following:
  1. Attend Prayer Meeting and Bible study on Wednesday nights,
  2. Read the Bible daily and live according to the Word of God,
  3. Attend District workshops and training sessions and apply (put into practice) what was learned.
  4. Support the Pastor by attending church invitations local and out of town.

Regular monthly visits are made to the sick and shut-in at home and in Nursing Homes. During these visits we bring Get-Well Cards, give Fruit Baskets, Read Bible Verses and discuss/review Sunday School lessons with them.
