How Do You Get Source Points Divinity 2

My thoughts: As OP said, don't obtain a source point from Jahan (i.e. Have 3 points already when finishing his quest). Then instead you'll get a nice unique skillbook from him that you can't otherwise get. How to Get Source Points In Divinity Original Sin 2, there are some areas covered with Source water. When a character with an empty Source Point slot stands on a surface of Source water, they will absorb the surface and gain a Source Point.

  • Crafting Recipes

Divinity 2 Max Source Points

Try to avoid crafting anything until near the end of Act 1 if you like your menues looking orderly. Crafting Recipes remain in your Recipe Menu in the EXACT order you discover them in. If having things scattered all over the place annoys you, then save all the recipe books you find, but DO NOT read them until you are ready to begin crafting. That being said, know that if you ask the Doctor if she has potions she teach you the recipe for minor Healing Potions.
Weapons
Be aware, the weapons created will be at the level your character crafting them is currently at. So you might want to save these materials until later on so you can make higher level weapons either to sell or use yourself.

  • Easy 'The Isle of Last Resort' Achievement

You need to either kill or decline every Soucerer Meistr sends you to speak with so you do not get the three source points. I personally just went round killing everything as soon as I could. Once you are unable to get to the three needed to get the information from the gods Malady will all but smack you upside the head and give you the information. | Submitted by Neto
  • Easy 'The Seven Altars' Achievement

I had attempted this about six times before finally triggering it. I didn't use any waypoints once I started and I put the imp gem on the pedestal and then used it as my last altar- this is only what worked for me however and I am sure other people managed without putting it on the pedestal. I did however just have Ifan for this run which may also have helped. It does seem very twitchy when it will trigger, so put a definite save when you first get to the island. | Submitted by Neto
  • Steal

For those too inept to figure out the rudementary concept that is stealing and not getting caught.
Distraction: Simply approach the npc you want to take from and talk to them. This prevents them from turning and seeing you steal. You can do this to two other npcs if there are several people walking around.
The Theft Have a second party memeber, the one who isn't talking sneak outside of the victims npcs field of view. Then grab the items you wish to steal. In this example I take a bucket.
The Swindling The npcs are smart, so you have to be careful now. Take the item you stole and put it on the ground. Yes, just leave it there. Better yet, put it in a chest or crate, or shove it in some other npcs pocket. The point is, none of your party memebers should have it on them.
The Questioning Stop talking to the npc and let them walk a few feet away, realizing instantly that they have lost something oh so precious. Obviously the npc wont be too happy about you stealing their prized bucket and leaving it on the ground where they will never find it so prepare to have your goodies searched. Let them search you and blatently ignore the item on the ground or in their own belongings. If you split up your party, be careful they dont search you twice.
Collect your Prize! Now you will see that the item is no longer red and can be picked up and taken. It will also be marked stolen, a sign that you're a dirty thief! | Submitted by DayleJ
  • Various Gameplay Tips

Here is a list of random but useful tips that should help you out to get better in combat:
One character - One strategy it's best that each of your character does what it is supposed to instead of trying to do everything with every character.

How Do You Get Source Points Divinity 2 Download

Be ready, be adaptive It's good to specialize your characters but don't rely too much on the same strategy or you may have serious troubles in some situations. You will face very varied encounters and if for example your main source of damage is fire any Magical Armor heavy or Fire resist heavy team will completely destroy you. It's also good for each of your character to do a tiny bit of what it's not supposed to do such as having one Magical Armor CC on your heavy Physical Damage character (and vice-versa) for that moment where you can only that one type of CC.
Synergy is the key Synergy between your characters but also within each character's build will get you anywhere. If you feel your characters lack synergy try to figure out why, sometimes it can be because of their Initiative Score (you often want to put Poison before Fire for example), sometimes it can be because they are doing too much of the same, sometimes it's another reason entirely. On a team-scale try to make the count of how many CC you have, their Armor type and which character holds them, the count of your defensive options, what mobility options each party member has. On a character-scale make sure that your damage-dealer character have good skills to get rid of armors fast and decent CC options that are cheap enough to use and with cooldowns that allow them to be used when needed to make sure you keep the upper-hand.
Creativity is your best friend. | Submitted by DayleJ

Looks like a Bethesda way to do things. I would not want that, source would lose every bit of what makes it special and become a 'buff resource', which would be a shame. On the other hand, i kind of understand, from playing through the Joy Act, that Source is a power inside every Sourcerer. Some have it, some don't. It is told that many sourcerers were brought to Fort Joy after a Source 'accident', where their power unleashed uncontrollably and unwillingly. That's why they have collars. But then, i fail to see the need for your party to unlock 'Source Points' and find external source pools. Wasn't Source a power contained in one's own body? I understand they did that for balance purposes but i feel it breaks their lore. Probably, i would have prefered a system where using source comes with a cost. Either some time to have it back and reuse it (in which case developing your power would allow you to use more of it before it drains out) or grant an 'Exhausted' status of sorts after you use too much of it. And i would have loved more Source related spells and abilities. Some relying only on source, the way Bless does.
